Advantage of Active/Active over Active/Standy F5 pair

Hi Team,   Could you please tell me, Is there is any advantage of Active/Active over Active/Standy F5 pair ?   Thanks much !!

The main advantage is you have the processing capacity of two devices available to serve traffic instead of one. you can spread your traffic load between them.

 

Notes

 

  1. SNAT is required for all traffic in active/active.
  2. Local traffic manager supports this, other modules may not.

    Hi Kevin,

     

    Is it possible to configure F5 LTM active/active when F5 is configured in two-arms mode?

    1. The application servers use F5 as their default gateway.
    2. F5 VS configuration does not use SNAT.
