Consolidate Virtual Servers

We have several test versions of our virtual servers and we're thinking of consolidating them all down into one for http and another for https. Then using an irule, select the appropriate pool based on the host header.

Is anyone else doing anything remotely similar to this?

  • I am doing something similar BUT for HTTP. HTTPS is another matter entirely. You can only map one SSL to one virtual server. There are a few options using a single wildcard cert or a single cert with Subject Alternate Names (SANs) that extend the functionality. Click here to see details of a past post about it.

    hope this helps

  • Luckily, all of these portals fall under a single domain and we have a wildcard to handle everything.
