permanent resize of /var/

Question

Hi all!I´ve been reading these two articles.https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K34126971https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K52061353&nbsp;Are any of them a permanent fix for low diskspace of /var/ ?&nbsp; Or will we/I have to redo it after every upgrade?/Kim

There doesn't seem to be a permanent solution that survives an upgrade. However from version 16.0.0.0 the /var partition is increased by 50%. Maybe that will work for you. On the other hand, what's eating your diskspace on /var?&nbsp;

You can use 'du -k -x /var | sort -n' to see what directories uses a large amount of space.&nbsp; They are on the end of the list. That could give you an indication.

There IS a permanent solution that survives upgrades if you're not willing to upgrade to v16. We successfully implemented it on v15.

It is effective from the first upgrade you do after implementing the config file.

This following article says you'll have to do it again after an update.
/var folder size decreases automatically after upgrade (f5.com)
