Software Compression

Hi guys

i am a newbie to F5 devices and load balancing. i have an issue at my work where the VIP on the load balancer should be checked if there is enough compression . i am asked a question like

- Is there a way to measure the amount of compression being used currently on the LBs that have it enabled? we want to make sure we have enough compression bandwidth available in OCP.

could any one please tell me about how to find this out. any information is much appreciated

Thanks & Regards

This might provide you what you need. On your bigip, try the folliwng command:

    tmctl -c compress

That will give you a CSV of the current compression info in the stats tables. Hope that helps. :-)
