WebAccelerator

I've got a situation where the Time To First Byte on a Sharepoint 2010 server is 51 seconds. The unit has WA installed and conifgured and from looking at some of the output from Httpwatch appears to be doing what it should. What I'm wondering is how would I go about just plain caching the default.aspx object on the LTM and serving it up before it does a freshness check on the server itself. Then once it was served it could check and refresh in its cache if required.
