- nitassEmployeeWhat is the command to type in to reset all STATS for Bits In---Out---Conn
- ChadBigIP_14663NimbostratusThank you, it worked perfectly.
- nitassEmployeeDo you know why I would have a VIP called (none:any) :it could be wildcard (any:any) virtual server.
[root@ve10:Active] config b virtual test list virtual test { destination any:any mask 0.0.0.0 } [root@ve10:Active] config bigtop -once -n|grep none none:any 0 0 805 0 0 0 0
- ChadBigIP_14663NimbostratusCould that wildcard be causing an issue with routing traffic? AND/OR could this be why I see ACTIVE Connections on my STANDY LTM-3400?
- marco_octavian_Nimbostratus
Possibly. Do the "problematic" servers point to the LTM for their default gateway? Can post the config snippet for this virtual?
- kridsanaCirrocumulusIs it monitor connection?
- ChadBigIP_14663Nimbostratus
the name of the VIP is called:
vs_ip_forwarding
Destination:
Type: Forwarding (IP)
- ChadBigIP_14663Nimbostratus
Connection Mirroring is NOT ENABLED for any VIP.
I do have ECV checks on each LTM enabled.
Could the ECV checks show Active Connections on the Standby LTM as it checks each individual server - or are ECV checks only activated from the MAIN Active LTM only?
It is strange that I see close to 600-800 Active Connections on the Standby LTM.... In 2.87M Out 3.829M....

results of my ifcfg-eth0 file on Web Server:
NETWORK=192.168.0.0
LTM IP is 192.168.1.2 (Active) and 192.168.1.3 (Standby)

ECV checks/monitors are exectued from each LTM. These will show up in the Active Connections graph on each unit and if you issue the " tmsh show /sys connection" command.
Some of these connections could also be cause by the IP Forwarding VS which makes the F5 act as a router for all non-specific VS connections. The Active Connections are probably just monitor checks but you could verify with tcpdump what type of traffic is actually hitting the standby LTM. This is why I asked you to confirm if any of your Virtual Servers are pointing to the self-ip of the LTM as their default gateway. If so, the forwarding VS is going to process those connections.
