BIG-IP LTM configuration file version control options

I know F5 has their Enterprise Manager product but, aside from that, are there any other options for doing configuration file version control on BIG-IP LTMs?

Ideally, what we are looking for is for an automated process that can save a copy of the configuration files (to some "off-box" repository) anytime a change is made.

I need this capability for device recovery as well as auditing purposes.

Presently, we are just doing UCS archives that are manually transferred to another system.

Any guidance will be most appreciated.

You could use the single config file and CVS/SVN/git or your favourite SCCS.

You'll need to wrap you own script around it, but that's a few hours work for anyone mildly competant with shell script or similar.
