NFS over WOM

We then here is another challenge for the fine folks out there in the world of the F5 Forums!

I am trying to get NFS TCP traffic optimized over our WAN using the WAN Optimization Module. So far i have tried creating an NFSD proxy (port 2049) and an NFS keep alive (port 1110) and SUNRPC (111) but to no avail.

These are three different proxies,

Any other suggestions on how to do this, or not ot bother, would also be welcome.

I think the easy answer to this, is to make sure you're using NFSv4... That's designed to be 'firewall friendly', and only uses port tcp/2049. No separate portmap, or mountd required.

If you're not using NFSv4, I'd say it's not going to be very easy... (If you're not, you're missing mountd already). if you are using NFSv4, then you have too many ports already, and need to start doing some tcpdumps and working out exactly where it's failing.
