Sharepoint load balance stats question

We are load balancing two wfe's for sharepoint. It looks like the bits and packets are balacing ok but the connections seem way off.

 

 

One WFE in the pool is currently showing 90 active connections. The other one is showing 10.

 

 

the max on one is 245 and the other 45.

 

 

So how is it possible that the bits and packets are balancing nicely but the connections are way off ?

 

 

We are using round robin with persistence.
