Missing SNMP OIDs Post version 10.2 upgrade

Hello,

We have been successfully using Solarwinds Orion NPM to monitor and alert on the status of our F5 Virtual Servers and Pool Members using the following OID tables:

1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.5.6.2 => F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB:ltmPoolMbrStatusTable

1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.5.2 => F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB:ltmVirtualServProfileTable

Recently we upgraded one of our BIG IP 3600 to software version 10.2 and since then we are no longer able to query these SNMP OIDs against this appliance. The other BIG IP 3600 we have is still on an older version of software and returns the values fine.

Is anyone else having the same problem since upgrading to version 10.2?

Many thanks

Andy

  • I'm running 10.2 so I did a quick MIB Walk for you. I don't see either of those listed.

    I'd create a support case and ask where they went. What exactly are you alerting on? Simply up/down? You might simply have to create something to monitor the number of active members.
  • Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your reply, glad you can't see those OIDs either. We were using those OID values to display pool member and virtual server status in Solarwinds Orion NPM application maps so that our Service Desk could see their status without having to go in to the BIG IP Management Interface.

    Version 10.2 still sends out TRAPs using the F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB and so we can still generate automatic emails and Service Desk tickets if a pool member goes down.

    I will log a support ticket as suggested to try and find out why the supported MIBs for 10.2 have changed.
