  • Maybe your virtual network interfaces got remapped?

You can log in on the console and doe a tcpdump on eth0 to see what kind of IP addresses are arped for on the MGMT interface. Maybe that gives a clue.

  • hi harshpal

have you licenced the unit yet?

on the latest version of VE, i found that the 'activate' licence button didn't work. it basically just sat there doing nothing. then for some unknown reason the gui became very unreliable. it would work one minute, but not the next. to fix this, i licenced the unit via command line and everything sprung to life

    just an idea

  • Hi Harsh

I don't understand how you've installed the software without having access to the command line and/or GUI? In my opinion, you need to get to a command line and issue the get_dossier command to licence the system. This would be my recommendation before troubleshooting anything further

  • Intermittent access problems like this sound like a duplicate IP address may be present.

Had this same issue on our LTM. It seems like the admin service was having issues. I logged in via console and ran:

    bigstart restart tmm

That fixed the issue, but caused a failover.

Not sure how much all that applies to you (the commands may be different in your version) but see if you can restart that service somehow.
