Parameter Name - with "https"

Hello all ,

A simple query , My list of user input parameter names in traffic learning shows "https://portaltest.hcbo.com/sso.dedmax"

1) Im trying to understand how can "https://portaltest.hcbo.com/sso.dedmax" be a parameter name? My developers say its most likely its a parameter value (although thye are not 100 % sure). i believe its a parameter name that f5 picked up.Can anyone explain.

2) Likewise in another scenario there are many parameter with different numbers like "1343663102671" which seemed more like a value.

Any inoputs will greatly help me in explaning the developers on this.

Also wondering it would have been great if there was an export function to export all the list of parameter names or file types etc. that is learnt to the developers. As of how i believe it has to e extracted manually.

regards,

Nik

  • Hi Nik,

Can you post an anonymized copy of the full request info for these violations? That would be the simplest way to interpret the violations for us as well as your developers.

  • Aaron,

Im attaching screenshots of the config utility indicating the list of parameter violations starting with "https.." and the number. Pls advise.

Note - On uploading the .doc or .rtf file types it says not allowed but shows 2 files uploaded. Im going ahead and submitting this post hoping the screenshots get uploaded.
