High Availability F5 with a different network config

Hello,

I have to make a strange implementation. I think it works but i need your agreement :

F5 Master

1.1 : VLAN A with floating IP

1.2 : VLAN B

1.3 : VLAN Syncho

F5 Slave (Passive state)

1.1 : VLAN A with floating IP

1.2 : VLAN Y

1.3 : VLAN Syncho

1.2 have different network configuration because we cannot use vlan extension.

I try a quick config with just synchro test and it seems workings.

Here is the type of config i need :

VS-int-1.1 -> POOL-int-1.2 -> host in vlan B and Y

Thanks for your feedback,

Best Regards,

Flo,

  • That's unconventional but as long as there is not a shared requirement for vlan B & Y that would get synchronized (and thus cause sync issues) it should work fine.

    i prefer use dedicated vlan for sync

    like this;

    vlans ; external , internal, interlink

    interlink vlan dedicated vlan for sync and directly connected each bigip over cross cable..

    and i assingn unused network for interlink vlan

    regards
