Where in F5 ASM do I enable the Trigger ASM iRule event setting?

We have created iRules, but they don't seem to work as expected. I read in the manual that “If you want to use iRules to perform actions based on ASM iRule events, you must you must enable the Trigger ASM iRule event setting. By default the iRule event setting is disabled.”

I think that I need to enable the Trigger ASM iRule event setting, but I don't know where to find this setting in F5. I appreciate any guidance to find this. Thank you, Dianna

  • To activate iRule events:

1.On the Main tab, expand Application Security and click Policy. The Policy Properties screen opens. 2.In the editing context area, ensure that the Current edited policy is the one that you want to update. 3.For the Configuration setting, select Advanced. The screen refreshes, and displays additional configuration options. 4.If you have written iRules to process application security iRule events, and assigned them to a specific virtual server, for the Trigger ASM iRule Events setting, select the Enabled check box. 5.Click Save to save any changes you may have made to the security policy properties. 6.To put the security policy changes into effect immediately, click the Apply Policy button in the editing context area.
