See the answers to this topic: Redirect to a maintenance page on the F5
- Christopher_BooCirrostratus
Having done it both ways. I prefer redirecting to a maintenance server. Hosting on the LTM is cleaner, but it is guaranteed there will be some unexpected outage and some manager is going to want the maintenance page edited to reflect an expected uptime (you may end up making multiple edits if it is a prolonged outage). Once everything is working again, you don't remember to edit the irule back to something more generic and there is much gnashing of teeth during the next outage. Redirect to a server the app team has access to. They can make it look however they want and make it say whatever they want. Then when they need the expected up time changed at 1 AM or somebody forgets to update it, it's on them and not you;D

- ArieAltostratusAgreed, but based on the question I would assume that this is for a situation when access to a maintenance server isn't an option.
- Amit_V_Chavan_1NimbostratusIf you want to do this without iRule, then : You can add your maintenance page url under HTTP Profile (Local Traffic>> Profiles >> Services >> HTTP>> >> HTTP Profile(You can create custom profile here )>> maintenance page URL need to add under "Fallback Host" option ), and attach this profile to the VIP (Under VIP Configuration >> HTTP Profile ). Try this let me know if any issue. Happy to help :-) -@m!T
