  • Hello!

This might be a silly suggestion, but you have you checked the config for test_UAT.app/test_UAT_http and verified that the width actually is greater than zero?

What hardware and version do you run? Is it newly upgraded? Sometimes I've had to re-create objects after upgrades or force a mcpd reload to make things work.

I saw this article (if you haven't rebooted it might not be related):

  • Hello,

I have also run into this issue. The problem was that the child profile was referencing the parent profile "http" which, by default, contains a width of "80". I had actually manually set the LWS width to 80 in the child profile to resolve that particular issue, but then the LTM started to complain about the parent profile "http" not being found.

The issue was that in the bigip.conf configuration file the parent profile "http" did not exist. Funny thing was that if I issued:

tmsh list ltm profile http http or tmsh list ltm profile http /Common/http

...the profile showed up. I actually had to failover the unit in standby and load the configuration again. Once I did that I was able to successfully sync the configuration since the parent profile "http" actually showed up in bigip.conf. I'm going to assume this is likely your issue as well.

I also had one other issue with the upgrade. The client SSL profiles got messed up. The LTM was complaining that it could not find the key/certificate applied to the profile. I had to delete the certificate, key and chain entries and re-apply them to the same profile. Just a heads up.

  • I also ran into this after an upgrade to 11.5.1. My post-upgrade Master did not have the 'http' parent profile, but the Standby did. I had to force-sync the Standby to the group to resolve it.

  • The problem is that associated profile in the error message lost it's parent profile from the bigip.conf.

vi bigip.conf for both units and check to see which one has the http parent profile. /lws-width

config sync from that unit and it'll change the sync status

  • This happened to me tonight. I was trying to do the initial post upgrade sync from active to the group after loading 11.5.1. I had the lws-width issue in an unusued profile so I just removed the profile and tried the sync again. This time it had an issue with the parent profile.

After reading the suggestions here I tried an overwrite config sych from the group to the active and that worked. Thanks guys.
