VMWare Horizon View 2.3 client not happy

Hey guys,

Over this past weekend we upgraded our pair of f5's to 11.5 with the VMware view iapp version 1.1.0. All works great using VMware view clients version 5.4 and 2.2. But when we tried using the newest version (2.3) it does not get past AD auth. It just sits there spinning. Has anyone had any problems with using this version yet?

We are running horizon view 5.2 with the F5 proxying all pcoip traffic and using RSA authentication followed by AD authentication. No security servers, just connection servers.

Thanks!

    I've not managed to get VMWare View to work via the 11.4 or 11.5 at all...

    Mine just continually tell me the connection was either broken, or timed out... Same goes for both PCoIP and HTML5 connections. Neither F5 nor VMWare can tell us much except both say it looks OK from their end... (Although I also see VMWare RESET the tcp/4172 connection from the VDI at times for no apparent reason).

    The config I'm using is being started from a Webtop though, NOT a stand-along PCoIP proxy that the Horizon View connects to.

  • In our environment, applying this iRule fixed the issue: when HTTP_REQUEST { if { [HTTP::path] == "/broker/xml" && [HTTP::header Expect] == "100-continue" } { SSL::respond "HTTP/1.0 100 Continue\r\n\r\n" } }
  • Hi Logan, I have seen the same issue with the client 2.3, 2.3.3 and the newest  client 3.0. I have been working with F5 for months trying to resolve the issue and currently tell my users to download and install version 2.2 until we have a resolution to the issue. My question for you is where do  I put the above irule or did you add it to an existing iRule. We are currently built out with two sites using the "Deploying F5 with VMware View and Horizon View for Advanced Load Management" guide can be downloaded here " https://devcentral.f5.com/s/articles/vmware-view-iapp-v100-and-deployment-guide " We have multiple Irules in place including the following: username_sql_apm view_ssl_auth events_db The view_ssl_auth is deployed on the iapp's. I will gladly vote up your answer if I can get it working for our environment. I would be great to have users just download the newest client. view
