Should i download the trail version ova file with a trail license and then register the device with the actual license? Or is there a separate ova file that i need to download to run licensed version? Also are there ova's specific for the ESX version that we run - ESXi5.0/5.1/5.5? Does the purchased license support all versions of TMOS till the latest one?
CirrostratusDownload the full version and enter your license key at the appropriate time once installed. You can run any version that's available.
Not sure about the ova files, whatever is listed for VMware should work just fine.
NimbostratusI wouldn't bother with the trial version - it seems to be a very specific distribution. Download the regular ova from downloads.f5.com - there you will find images for all sorts of hypervisors. On the ESXi image it says it's for 4.0 - 5.1 but I'm running it on a 5.5 without any problems. And yes, the key is valid for any v9+ version.
