APM Visual Policy Editor <undo>

Hey. Is there an equivalent of a +Z (undo) in the visual policy editor? I made a mistake and removed an entire branch and I can't find a way to get it back. There is no undo or cancel changes, etc. Thanks.

There is no undo unfortunately. If you haven't applied ("saved") the policy yet, you can use command line to (make first a backup copy of the earlier saved bigip.conf and then) load the earlier saved version from bigip.conf file with tmsh load sys config command.

Kudos to Mahesh for this. See https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/apm-how-do-i-undo-a-vpe-change

  • Hi Erich,

I'm not aware of a way to simply step back through a mistake.

In a test environment I've been able to roll back by copying the running configuration back over the stored configuration files. But that wipes out all of your changes since the last save operation.
