A dumb question on iRule Order in Network Map

Hello Folks,

One my customer asked my quite ineffectual question. As per the following snapshot, can anyone tell me why a single iRule displays in after "192.168.2.233:7779" pool member and rest of iRules are showing at the bottom?

Does the order indicates something? This isn't a unique VS by the way, there are others which shows most of the iRules at the bottom, but one or two comes in mid.

Any clues?

swo0sh.gt - can't recreate in my version of TMOS so here' my guess.... Is it that website_rewrite irule is calling pool_website_OHS pool and the others are not using the "pool" command? Like i said, just a guess
  • It's not a dumb question. Should open a case and ask F5 to document the meaning of the order/display of iRules in the map.
  • Hello Nathan,

No, the rewrite iRule doesn't say anything about any pools. It is just rewriting the content from web servers before submitting it to the client.

    Thanks, Darshan

  • Did the OP ever get an answer to this? I have the same (intelligent) question :) I just added an iRule to all our VS's and they seem to show in random order in the network map.

wait for another day, if no one replies just open a support ticket.

as suggested it might just be random.
