BIG-IP : iControl : Management::Device::get_configsync_address

Question

F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition v11.4.1 (Build 635.0) LTM on ESXi&nbsp;
What exactly is a configsync ip address ? Does sending a request to this ip cause a device-group config-sync to occur ? &nbsp;
The docs offer only a very basic explanation : &nbsp;

The iControl documentation isn't going to explain BIG-IP features that aren't features of iControl itself.&nbsp;
The config sync address is the IP address your BIG-IP will use to send and receive config sync related messages.  That's a BIG-IP feature not specifically related to iControl,&nbsp;
