GTM Data Centers and "Server" creation

In a GTM "Data Center," if i wanted to add an LTM or multiple LTMs, would i simply use the Self-IP of of the LTM that exists on the same subnet as the GTM or would I use the actual VIP of the applications? I'm confused on which IP address is relevant here.

Thanks in Advance

  • A Data Center is simply an object you create, referencing the DC's that are in your network. The server objects are the names of associated servers you plan to add to the GTM. This can be an Big-IP system or generic host or other server types. It is here you associate the servers IP's. In addition, if VS's are not learned automatically, then you will need to manually add the VS IP's.

    Hope this helps.
