Can traffic coming from server farm with multiple server subnets terminated on coreswitch be routed to the LTM floating IP ?

Hi ,

I am doing an implementation for F5 ltm (HA pair), i have following VLANS : server vlan and dmz vlan ( both server and dmz are tagged as a single trunk.)

, where i have multiple server subnets configured in the core switch . so ideally for an outbound response from the server to the users, 1) can i route the traffic from the multiple server subnets terminated on core switch to a floating IP associated with server vlan in F5? is there any F5 limitation on that ?? 2) Or do i need to create separate server vlans in the F5 same as that configured in the core switch for the traffic to pass ?

please help

Harry

Hi nit, one more question is it necessary to create a virtual server same as that of the Vlan ?

no, it is not necessary. virtual server is just listening on ingress vlan.
