Http Redirect for range of IPs

If I make a Virtual Server for a Network range - let's say 10.72.0.0, network mask 255.255.240.0 Can I make an iRule to redirect ANY Http traffic to a specific Address?

We are putting in some access control management at our University, so if a student in a dorm plugs into a switch, and the machine is not registered, they get put on a range of IP addresses - in this case, 10.72.0.0 - If they try to go to any website, we want them to get redirected the appliance to register their device. Once registered, they will then be moved to a different vlan and be able to access the internet.

  • If the BIG-IP device is in the path of the client device you could. All traffic for that subnet would have to route through the BIG-IP at some point, in order for the BIG-IP to intercept the HTTP traffic and redirect it.

The BIG-IP will not respond to ARP for network addresses, only host addresses.
