can't login a peer in cluster

Hi all,

I faced a wired issue, the our customer can't access a peer of F5 devices in cluster, although he can access the other one with the same password well, kindly be noted that both devices are in active/active deployment (I think it doesn't matter, right?), also I've a ucs archive can i get the password from it? your fast response is highly appreciated

  • No you can't get the password from the UCS. :-) If the customer lost root access he can reset the password in single user mode. Yes the active/active deployment is fine if that was originally intended.

  • Hi,

Maybe as a quick fix (I assume that there is need to access Linux shell on peer) you can set Terminal Access for admin user to Advanced Shell. That allows admin to ssh to peer and perform whatever action you need, still of course will not let recover root password.
