  1. I use a service of F5 througth hourly charge,I want to know If the license is available when I restart or change the instance? 2.If I bought a annual service of F5 , If the license is available when I restart or change the instance? And when the license is overtime If the service will automatical convert to hourly charge?

where can dedicate the license info of f5? I only find the license information from F5 , see the image, is that dedicated hourly charge or annual charge?

  • Hello. I am not sure of what you are asking exactly. I will try to rephrase and answer your questions below. If these do not cover what you are looking for, please elaborate on what we can help you with.

For an hourly-billed instance in AWS, is it possible to change or restart the instance?

You may restart it but you cannot change the instance. For example you cannot increase to a larger CPU type or make any changes to the instance or it will invalidate the license. The license is not available separately from the instance. You cannot move the license from one instance to another. To upgrade to a larger instance type, you will need to deploy a new hourly-licensed instance and migrate the configuration manually. (note that the BYOL instance types do not have this limitation)

If I purchase the yearly-billed AWS instance type, does it automatically convert to hourly after that year is up?

No, it appears that it would auto-renew an additional year once the first year is up. AWS handles the billing for this so you'll need to read their fine print for more info. See https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/help/201550560

Where can I see the license information for my F5 products?

You are looking at the correct screen. The license should be valid as long as the AWS subscription is valid.
