DR Site Failover with GTM

Hi,

We are a company and we have one data center. We want to make another data center which will act as a DR site for our current data center.

Can anybody please share some information on how GTM can help us in site failover when one site goes down and other becomes active.

How will user traffic from the internet will be processed ?

Any help will really be appreciated. Thanks.

  • GTM pretty much equals DNS loadbalancing. this mean you configure the GTM to become DNS server for (part) of your domain. when a client requests for example host.domain.ext then this reaches the GTM and it decides to return an IP from the one or other DC.

beyond on this you can find several documents on this at the f5 site.
