Your session could not be established. Access may be denied by the access policy.

Hi,

I use 32-but internet explorer on Windows 8.1 to access my secure webmail for the Army. I installed updates on my computer, and now I continually get the error message above--that my session could not be established because access may denied by the access policy. I've overridden the cookies policy to always allow for cookies, and have otherwise configured IE so that I may use it with my Army email. However, your product has given me this error message for the last three weeks. I also have Symantec installed on my computer, so I don't see how this would be an issue with antivirus software.

Could you please advise on how to fix?

Thanks--

Chelsea

  • Chelsea,

This error generally means that you do not meet the minimum security requirements to connect. Enterprise Email does not have customized error messages, so you get a standard F5 error message. Have you opened a ticket with Enterprise Email Support? Are you an F5 Administrator, or an Enterprise Email Customer? Are you accessing with a personal machine or GFE?

If you have questions, you can reach out to your F5 Account Team directly, in the case of Army, that is me, to get more details.

You can also validate compatibility issues here: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/15000/300/sol15326.html

However, your best course of action may be to reach out to Enterprise Email and open a ticket.

  • Hi Michael,

Thank you so much for your quick response; I'm simply an Enterprise Email Customer, using the program on my PC (I do not have a government computer and, being based in Norway for the rest of the year, will not have ready access to one any time soon). I've already spoken with the Enterprise Email team and they were unable to help (apart from directing me to a trouble shooting guide, which I use regularly in any case).

Do you have any suggestions on what I could do? I'm sorry to be such a pest! But if you're in any way able to assist I would prefer not having to book a flight to Germany for the sake of checking my email.

    Thank you!
