VmWare Horizon View 6.1.1 and F5 APM

Hello,

I'm building F5 configuration for VmWareview and I have some issues with it...

I'm using iapp 1.3.0 and I have 11.6. HF6 firmware running on F5 devices. I want to use APM because I need SMS-authentication for View. At the moment I'm able to launch virtual desktop with VmWareClient and it's ok.

Problems: 1. I cant get HTML5 working. I have tried it with many different configurations, with ssl, with ssl-offload and I'm just getting error message "This webpage is not availabla ERR_CONNECTION_RESET" Connection server setting should be ok...

  1. Is it possible to get shared folders visible in virtual desktop? I mean those folders which I have in my own computer from where I connect to virtual server?

  2. USB redirect, is it supported when using F5 APM?

  • Regarding your question on USB redirect support, some zero clients such as Wyse P25 provided by Teradici use PCoIP as a transport for USB, and work with APM since 11.4.

VMware provided clients however redirect USB over their proprietary protocols. As of APM version 12.0-HF1, it is not supported. The support for it has been added in the upcoming 12.1 version.

  • Hello,

ok, thank you for your answer.

How about that shared folders, is it supported via F5 apm?

I haven't got html5 connection to work, still getting this same error message "This webpage is not availabla ERR_CONNECTION_RESET". I have gone through F5 configuration many times and I dont believe there is nothing wrong but maybe something on vmware connection server... Any help is appreciated.
