Analytics for current connections in Pool

I have a pool set up with two members, and both are Apache web servers.

What I'm trying to track is a value that's available in the Statistics tab for the pool under Connections / Current but I can't seem to pull it from the Analytics section. In Analytics/HTTP I can set up a widget and select Virtual Server to get "avg concurrent sessions" but this is not the same value as the Pool numbers as it tracks way more that what those pool members are seeing. And if I select Pool Members for the widget I really can only select throughput and speed-like measurements.

Anyone know a way to track Current Connections in a Pool? This value is the same exact value Apache returns with server-status and something we're trying to plot so we know about how many concurrent connections coming to the Apache servers. Even if that value isn't available in a widget just some how having a way to automatically output the number at any given interval to a file may work too.

Thanks for your help!

  • Have you looked at Performance Statistics (Statistics > Performance : Traffic Report) or Dashboard Statistics (Statistics > Dashboard)? Both of those offer connection statistics over time. And you can download Dashboard Statistics history (including raw data) to a local file for reporting elsewhere.
