Health Monitoring (DMZ and Core LTM) and iRule

How can I monitor the pools of our core ltm from dmz ltm health monitor? We have a website (DMZ ltm) and this website is like a portal and have pools. In this website has integrated application at the core ltm (internal network) through virtual server. I have an irule and it is working for redirection (maintenance window) but if there is activity/maintenance at the core (ltm) I have to manually redirect the traffic at DMZ virtual server. Your help is much appreciated ...

    Can you provide a diagram?

     

    Do you mean the pool members accessed from the DMZ depend on the core LTM, but don't fail of the core LTM is down?

     

    If so, then the best thing would be to ensure your pool members accessed from the DMZ LTM respond 'down' to the monitors on them already when the core LTM is down...

     

    Where are you manually redirecting to when the core is under maintenance?
