You can do global BIG-IQ configuration search by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and type a search string. Search results are grouped by content type. I think the original question was more how to search for certain items across all devices and get a list of where they are used (e.g. in which Virtuals, pools, etc.).
For instance, in EM you can search for a certain item like an iRule and it will return a list of all Virtuals that use it.
So far, I have not been able to find that same functionality in BIG-IQ (5.4.0).
For certain items (like profiles) you can select the actual item and see what its children are.
However if you're looking for something like a pool it does not appear that you can see which Virtuals it is assigned to.
Maybe I overlooked it. Anyone?
