WAM must be provisioned when a Virtual Server is using a Web Acceleration profile

Hello guys,

I'll really appreciate you could help me with this matter.

I just grabbed a UCS file from a BIG IP 4200v box which runs LTM and ASM in version 12.1.2 and I tried to install it in a VE running the same TMOS version and modules as the physical one. After sorting out some issues, I reached a point where I cannot figure out what is happening. I cannot load the config because of the following issue: 01070668:3: WAM must be provisioned when a Virtual Server is using a Web Acceleration profile (/Common/MainPortal.app/MainPortal_optimized-acceleration) with attached applications.Unexpected Error: Loading configuration process failed. Such application was deployed using iApps.

The source BIGIP 4200v only has LTM and ASM provisioned, so why I need to provision the WAM in the VE one? Only for test, I provisioned AM in the VE, but the issue remains. Maybe I cannot load this specific .ucs in a VE since the WAM is related to hardware. By the way, how can I provision WAM?

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

Jorge

  • You can use a web acceleration profile with LTM for example. You don't need WAM, or AAM (WAM + WOM), for that.

I just added the profile webacceleration to a virtual server, in a VE with 13.0.0. Without AAM provisioned, so no WAM provisioned.

Try to manually edit the virtual servers in the bigip.conf file, and remove the profile. After that, try to load the configuration.

Also, try load the ucs via tmsh with some extra options, like no-platform-check or platform-migrate.
