F5 APM - MDM

Hi All,

When integrated with MDM; mobile SDK app can authenticate against F5 per access policy set on f5 (username/password, certificate, etc) (over http) --> First, Is this true? If so;

Can f5 bridge different auth schemes to backend servers for SSO, that is; -- when a request is granted per access policy, lets say with username/password provided. -- Can f5 use kerberos to put and get request from web server -- and bridge this back to the client/mobile app?

MOBILE APP -> (Usern/PWD or basic/NTLM) -> F5 -> Kerb -> WebServer

And the second question if it can be done, can f5 bridge ntlm v2 to backend servers?

(If I am luck until this point, any documentation would be appreciated!)

Thank you.

  • APM can do SSO for different auth schemes, yes. I would recommend going to and pulling up the documentation for the APM version you are running. This will help you understand what needs to be done to deploy APM in these situations. You might also consider professional services.
