Accessing a VS from another subnet/VLAN

I have an LTM-3600 device with Self-IP on a VLAN and VS set up on the same VLAN, but there are clients that need to access the VS from other VLANs. The default route is able to route the traffic to and from the clients but clients cannot access the VS, how can I ensure that clients can reach this VS or are allowed to get to this VS.

Thanks.

  • Couple of options, routing or attaching the VLANS directly. Which is more suitable in your environment?

  • The easiest routing solution is to make sure they have routes to reach the network of the VS and firewalls allow the access. If they can't have routes to your network then NAT needs to be setup at your perimeter and they target that address.
