SSO issue

Hello All,

Requirement: End Customer should get selected weblinks as per user credentials provided.

Setup: Weblinks are on one VIP on same f5 but different URI EG: https://xyx.com/ab1 https://xyx.com/ab2

On a f5 APM landing page, I am trying to configure form based SSO to avoid dual authentication. but for some reasons its promptiming for authentication. Please Note: We have created same username & password on AD & backend SQL DB as well.

Please help to fix this issue.

  • prompting for authentication? that doesn't sounds like form based authentication, are you sure you need form based?

where did you configure your SSO profile?

do you mean webtop link or portal access resource?

  • Hello Boneyard,

I spoke with the application team & they confirmed that its form based authentication which is needed. I configured the SSO profile @ Access ›› Single Sign-On ›› Apps_Landing_sso And mapped the same @ Access ›› Profiles / Policies : Access Profiles (Per-Session Policies) ›› Apps_Landing

    Please see the logs below:

  • with a debug log profile you might actually see a little more SSO related. if you use client initiated forms SSO then the debugging turns up in the /var/log/apm log.

i also don't quite understand why you do per request processing, just on first should be enough.
