Web SSPR / NTLM Auth via fixed user details

I have been given a minor issue to deal with and would appreciate any help.

We have an installation of Tableau using AD authentication via NTLM/SSPR to allow automatic web/html access to internal AD users by group membership.

There is now a demand to provide external public access to a limited dataset without the need to login. Tableau requires a login and cannot have mixed AD and local users so I am stuck with AD.

Is there any way to have the F5 (which has AD access), via irules or APM, authenticate via a specific AD user, passing username and password (and domain if necessary) for all traffic hitting an external web VIP.

I have tried using APM and without a login page using the set variable to pass username and password to an AD login, but Tableau still prompts for authentication.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Steve

Have you tried using a SSO profile with your APM policy so that it would intercept the auth request. In the SSO profile you could either hardcode the credentials or set them as a variable as part of your policy
