SNMP monitor a non-default partition/route domain

Hello Experts,

I need help with monitoring a resources in non-default route-domain/partition of a F5 LTM. I tried hitting the IP address in the other domain, but it shows data from default partition/domain only.

[user@server plugins] snmpwalk -v2c -c xxxxxx 172.16.x.x IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.13.ipv4."10.10.x.x" = STRING: 0:a0:98:c8:e3:e4
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.13.ipv4."10.10.x.x" = STRING: b4:14:89:60:bd:c0
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.14.ipv4."127.2.0.1" = STRING: 0:23:e9:fe:b6:0
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.17.ipv4."127.1.1.2" = STRING: 0:1:23:45:67:0
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.17.ipv4."127.1.1.3" = STRING: 0:1:23:45:67:1
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.17.ipv4."127.1.1.4" = STRING: 0:1:23:45:67:2
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.17.ipv4."127.1.1.5" = STRING: 0:1:23:45:67:3
IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalPhysAddress.24.ipv4."10.10.x.x" = STRING: b4:14:89:60:bd:c0
[user@server plugins]

Is there anything that I need to do differently with the IP address that I am targeting OR the OID?

Any help would be appreciated!

  • Hi Krishna,

    Can you not build the OID for your particular object and achieve this.

  • Hello Jai,

    That's what my problem is. I don't know the OID for non-default parition/route domain.

  • Krishna,

    Can you give a shot with this article - SNMP OID

    It has a reference on how to build an oid for common partition. You have to convert accordingly.

    Hope it helps.
