Guide to upgrading software version -> upgrade to a 0 or 1 maintenance release?

I am planning a upgrade of our F5 estate and wanted to know which software version I should be going to.

We have a number of different versions at the moment but for example

should we be upgarding to the X.0.0 or X.0.1, which one is the latest stable release?

Should we install the 0 or 1 maintenance release?

Any info would be very useful.
