F5 Nating and traffic forwarding from the node

Hello,

I need to implement following configuration: 1 virtual server with a pool that currently will have one node. One more node will be added later. Node is configured on the same VLAN with F5 with F5’s selfip as a gateway. It turned out that node needs to initiate connections too (DNS request, LDAP, etc) that distant for different networks. As of now all this connection request been discarded when they arrive at gateway (F5’s selfIP). Is there any way to configure F5 to forward theses requests after nating packet to using virtual server IP address?

Any help will be greatly apritiated.

It sounds like you need to create a forwarder so that your node can initiate traffic out. Details of this can be found here

If you want to forward out DNS, don't forget to change the protocol on the forwarding VIP to All Protocols rather than the default of TCP.
