Open connection status after failover

Hello, can someone help me understand if the open NAT connections are survived by a system failover? I could find that by default they will die.

  • Check out the "Connection Mirroring" section of THIS article.

Hope that helps! If it does please up-vote and select this answer, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, it basically tells me how to configure, however, I would want to confirm by default connections are not mirrored and won't survive during a system failover.

  • Connections are not mirrored by default.

You can enable connection mirroring to minimise interruption after a fail over event (e.g. on IP forwarding virtual servers or virtual servers that have long lived connections like FTP).

You can also enable persistence mirroring under the persistence profile to replicate the persistence records to the peer unit.
