Warranty End Data vs Entitled Service
Hello Devs!
Do you guys happen to know the difference between Warranty End Data and Entitled Service?
A lot of times I have to check if a box/VE is under contract (aka will I be able to open a ticket with F5). I usually use this F5 tool: https://secure.f5.com/validate/validate.jsp
This tool then sends me an e-mail and I'm always troubled to understand if it's with an active contract or not. For example:
Scenario 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Service and Warranty Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Entitled Service : 10-21-2018 - 10-20-2019 (F5-SVC-BIG-PRE-SW290)
Warranty End Date : 10-20-2019
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scenario 2
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Service and Warranty Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Entitled Service : None
Warranty End Date : 11-14-2019
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scenario 3
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Service and Warranty Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Entitled Service : 12-10-2013 - 12-09-2015 (F5-SVC-BIG-PRE-HW54)
Warranty End Date : 12-09-2014
-------------------------------------------------------------------
In these scenarios, I understand that only scenario 1 have an active service contract and I should be able to open a ticket.
Is that correct? Can you guys explain the difference between warranty end date and entitled service?
Cheers! Rafael
