Running a rotating tcpdump

Hi All,

 

I am troubleshooting an issue which occurs sporadically and for that purpose I set up a rotating capture like this :

 

nohup tcpdump -ni 0.0:nnnp -s0 host x.x.x.x or host x.x.x.x or host x.x.x.x -w /var/tmp/2518/2518_v4_`date +%Y%m%d%H%M%S`.pcap -G 3600 -W 15 &

 

Still I am seeing the tcpdump session stop after a while? Anything I am missing?
