Citrix Receiver App Switching

Just noticed 2 things weird with iOS (iPads, haven't tried with iPhone, but I suspect it'd be the same)

 

 

1. When users connect to a netscalar their Citrix reciever has a drop down menu at the topof the screen that incldues an app switcher (Among other things). But when connecting via APM (With XMLBrokers no Citrix Web Servers) you do't get it. I suspect something missing in the .ica file generated by APM, but I can't find it. Anyone have an idea?

 

 

2. When you clikc on an icon in netscalar, it imediately asks if you want to open it in the reciever. When you click on an icon in APM, you first get told there's no app to handle the document (A helpful popup that fortunately includes a skip button). If you skip it you then get asked if you want to open in the citrix reciever...

 

 

I don't see anything around that should be specific to iOS...

 

 

Any ideas?

    Curious what the outcome is when you do not replace WI with APM. You can still proxy ICA with that configuration, just wondering if there is a difference in the ICA files and receiver behavior.

    Are you able to capture and post an ICA file produced when using Netscalar? I am interested in seeing what parameters are included.

    I have the same behaviour with APM 11.6 replacing Storefront in XenDesktop 7.6 environment. Any one experienced & solved this?
