File share and print traffic

Hi

I'm not sure how to go about this. load balacing file share and printer traffic. the fileshare part is a point to point one VIP one backend server. the printer traffic will go to two backend print server. everything is setup but nothing is working i'm not sure how to get this working. i checked a manual that said i should create a app tunnel but i'm using V11 and all the menus have changed in there...

  • Regarding the printer side, Hoolio just posted this for another post;

    Does it help?

    Hi

    I created a Iapp profile as it says in the post but i cannot connect to the VIP on the port this is what i get on a port scan..

    Interesting ports on sw_dr.tm.mtn.co.za (10.217.235.80):

    Not shown: 1679 closed ports

    PORT STATE SERVICE

    515/tcp filtered printer

    Nmap finished: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 1.284 seconds

  • Isn't that the relevant/correct port? I didn't see any mention of iApps in the other posts.

    If I've understood the other posts correctly, you need a wildcard (for the port, not the IP address) Performance (L4) Virtual Server configured with Port and Address Translation disabled and a FastL4 Profile with loose close enabled etc. Your servers should have a loopback interface configured with the IP address of this Virtual Server and a route back to the clients that isn't through the F5. Is that what you've done?
