VE on KVM (OpenStack on RHEL) Hard Disk Drive Allocation Issue

Hi all,

I'm having an issue when installing VE (Only LTM provisioned, TMOS v11.4.1) within OpenStack, which is using KVM running on RHEL. Instead of getting around 20Gb allocated per volume, I'm only getting around 5Gb which makes it impossible to upgrade or even install hotfixes.

I've not experienced issues with VE/LTM as per this: https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/big-ip-ltm-ve-on-kvm so it shouldn't be a cause, the right data existed already. Odd to note that I had to implement this 'hack' for BIG-IQ but the disk volume allocations are correct.

Thanks in advance.

  • FYI I'm running v11.4.1 which requires KVM running on RHEL 6.3. v6.4 (which I'm using) is not supported.
