GTM behind NAT Setup

Hi All

 

i know quite lot this topic on this communitiy but not clear enough to me. i have read the sol14707 https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/14000/700/sol14707.html but the SOL seems in condition the ltm also have a public ip.

 

In my environment, only GTM has public ip since gtm will resolve public dns query so the setup is like below

 

GTM- 1 leg deployment use 10.10.10.1/24 GTM listener will have public IP natted done in FW LTM- only use private ip, no nat done in FW (for the self ip) the nat is done only for the VS that will give the response for every DNS query. so GTM and LTM will communicate use private ip.

 

GTM and LTM communication is establish but when i add manually VS ip for the wide ip configuration (public ip), it show the status down.

 

May I know whether the setup above achievable or we need to have public ip also for ltm self ip for gtm and ltm communication
