Any way to leave routes out of sync (or keep them in the local traffic group)

I would like add a couple of LTMs that are not in the same location as the original pair to the sync failover group. They have a different route tables

Is there a way to tell the LTM to not sync routes in any version? (we are on 11.2.1 currently)

If there isn't away of doing this, how are people doing this when LTM are on different networks?

Thanks in advance!

  • I don't believe this is possible if we're talking about LTM routes (as you'd see in the GUI). There are two alternatives;

    1) Stretch a layer two VLAN between sites

    2) Use dynamic routing
  • We have the same problem, and we are trying to manage it by using different partitions.

    You can create a new partition containing the routing table and desactivate the "Inherit device group from root folder" in the partition configuration. In that case, the routing table is not overwritten during sync.
