"unb" interface on Viprion 2400

Can someone explain why my Viprion 2400 is creating an interface called "unb" with no MAC address? I don't have it on my other 2400 devices so I'm guessing it's some kind of error. I'd like to delete it if possible

  • Can you paste in the output of "tmsh show net interface unb all-properties'
  • list net interface unb net interface unb { if-index 1104 lldp-admin disable }
  • I've tried editing the scf file and loading it, then reboot and it still shows up. net interface unb { bundle not-supported description none enabled flow-control tx-rx force-gigabit-fiber disabled if-index 1104 lldp-admin disable lldp-tlvmap 130943 mac-address none media-active none media-fixed auto media-max none media-sfp auto mtu 1500 prefer-port sfp serial none sflow { poll-interval 0 poll-interval-global yes } stp enabled stp-auto-edge-port enabled stp-edge-port true stp-link-type auto vendor none }
  • I think I found the problem. I rolled back from HF2 and the interface went away. I'm currently running 11.5.3 and will leave HF2 as an option for the vCMP guests only and see what happens. More to come.
  • Update: I downloaded a new copy of HF2 and installed it in HD1.3 and booted to the partition and it seems to be working. It seems I may have just had a bad download or something of that nature. I'm currently loading the new HF download to the secondary device, as it had the problem too, to verify the consistency of my findings.
  • After testing on 2 different devices that were incurring the same issue, I downloaded a new copy of HF2 and installed it into a new volume and booted from the new volume. The issue seems to have subsided.
