SelfIP and VS precedence

Hi people,

I´m with a problem with VS and Self IP precedence.

I have a setup that have a vs: 0.0.0.0/0 (forwarding IP) to route the internal servers to internet, bigip is the gateway of these machines, and I have a GTM inside de internal lan, that wants to communicate with these LTM through iquery. The problem is that the virtual has precedence over self ip and it always respond for the request and iquery requests was never responded.

There is any way to bypass or ignore certain requests (based on source ip or destination port) in the virtual server and let self ip act? or change de objectes precedences inside bigip?

Thanks,

  • Hi Eduardo,

Did you define the LTM address within the GTM as the external self IP? You could try switching that definition to the LTM's internal self IP and then it shouldn't need to go through the forwarder.
